COVID-19 changed my life!

COVID-19 happened when I was the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager for the great multinational Oil & Gas Company I worked for.

I was privileged to coordinate the management of COVID-19 for the company.

The 3 years I spent working in this capacity exposed me to mental wellness more than I had been all my life.

I interacted and connected with people on emotional and mental levels like never before.

Each deliberate interaction liberated something. The more deliberate, the more intense.

My scientific mind knows when something is reproducible, that there’s always a pattern or method to it.

This discovery intrigued me enough to find that method and here I am today.

The most profound discovery for me was the fact that I had practiced this “method” since childhood.

I had an unconscious competence. (Check the comments section for the meaning😉)

Why am I telling you this?

📍 Always embrace new opportunities with an open mind because professional development could align you with your purpose.

📍 Professional growth can happen through unexpected roles.

📍 Be adaptable and face new challenges head-on. This increases your growth potential.

🤔 What other lessons did you learn from this post? How did COVID-19 affect you? Let’s have a chat in the comments section.

Let the first comment be the definition of unconscious competence👇

(Unconscious Competence suggests that our gifts/ talents are innate, the roots of our abilities may be deeply embedded in our person, our personal history, and experiences.)
