You’ve probably heard this several times, but I will say it again for your benefit.

This time a little differently.

Choose progress over perfection.

Perfection is a myth; therefore, it is unattainable.

It leaves you bitter and unsatisfied.

Whereas progress helps you learn, keeps you motivated, and enables you to move forward.

To put this into perspective, consider this example;.

A woman who eats junk every day decides to eat healthy. She knows how important having a healthy diet is and she wants that for herself.

So, she decides that she is going to eat three healthy meals a day instead of her favorite junk.

On the first day, she managed to eat only one healthy meal and still ate junk twice that day.

Looking at this outcome, she has two choices.

Either she becomes embittered and disappointed in herself for not meeting her goal or she views this as an achievement.

The progress she made that day by eating a healthy meal after months of eating junk food.

If she chooses perfection, she might become so disappointed that she gives up. But if she chooses progress, she will be more determined to smash her goals.

Like this woman, choose progress over perfection.

Progress will improve your life and help you reach your goals.
